About Us
AGGSOGA UK & Europe Chapter is a DEMOCRATIC and Voluntary Association set up with the intention of assisting current students in Abeokuta Girls’ Grammar School (AGGS), Abeokuta, Ogun State in Nigeria to develop positive ethos and learning culture throughout the school community with a commitment to continual improvement and meeting the very highest expectations as well as consider any matter affecting the school, its pupils or its Old Girls.
AGGSOGA UK & Europe Chapter also aim to develop more extended relationship with the students, staff, Old Girls and others associated with the school in Nigeria and overseas in order to engage in activities which will support the school and advance the education of the pupils attending it.
We pride ourselves in co-operating and working hand-in-hand in a respectable and effective manner with other AGGSOGANs, the school, charity organisation, voluntary bodies and statutory authorities operating in furtherance of the objects or of similar charitable purposes and to exchange information and advice with them.

How AGGSOGA UK & Europe Chapter Started.
AGGSOGA UK & Europe Chapter was launched in London on the 16th of November 2017, the chapter broke away from the then ‘AGGSOGA London Chapter’ so as to in-corporate members living within the UK and the European Countries.
The Chapter is a DEMOCRATIC Association with the intention of moving forward in an adequate and professional manner to promote the school and eliminate misappropriation of the association’s fund. The chapter is affiliated with the National Headquarter in Nigeria.

Membership to AGGSOGA UK & Europe Chapter is open to any person who attended Abeokuta Girls’ Grammar School, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria living or located in the UK and Europe area who is interested in helping the Association to achieve its aims, willing to abide by the rules of the Association and willing to pay subscription of £10 per month as agreed by the Executive Committee.
Membership is available to UK & Europe AGGSOGANs without regard to age, belief, class, culture, disability, ethnicity, nationality, norms, religion or values.
Old Girls of Abeokuta Girls’ Grammar School, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria shall be deemed to be voting members of the Association on receipt of subscription of £10 per month subject to the discretion of the Executive Committee.
